In his homily during a farewell mass to late Father Mangwiyo, Father Bernard Tiyesi thanked God for the gift of Father Mangwiyo in the Archdiocese of Blantyre.

“It appears he has a short time of service and indeed very short in our human thinking. Nevertheless, God is not limited by time” said Father Tiyesi.

Concurring with Father Tiyesi, Archbishop Thomas Luke Msusa for Archdiocese of Blantyre commended the dedication of the late priest in serving Catholic Christians in the Archdiocese.

He further expressed hope that the Lord will receive Him in Kingdom for dying while serving as priest.

Father Mangwiyo was Ordained Catholic Priest in July 2018 by His Grace Archbishop Thomas Luke Msusa at Limbe Cathedral together with five other deacons and five from other Congregations in the Catholic Church.

After his Ordination, His Grace Archbishop Thomas Luke Msusa assigned Him to serve Masanjala Parish as curate.

Father Mangwiyo has been in the vineyard of the Lord as Roman Catholic priest for eight months.
